Get Ready, Here Comes Morgan!

Another year is just about to get started. I am so excited to be getting back to IU. I cant wait to move into my room and to see all my friends that I have missed over the summer. I love the community feel of living on campus. It is great to know that your friends are only a couple steps away. The first weeks of school are always exciting because there is so much going on. There are plenty of activities during Welcome Week to keep everyone busy and entertained. That’s part of what is soo great about IU. There is always something to do. One of the benefits of going to a larger university is that there is something for everyone. Apart from being an RPS photographer, I am also a DJ at WIUX, involved with Union Board, and involved in student government at my dorm. IU offers so many opportunities and living on campus gives you a chance to explore all of them.

I am from Louisville, Kentucky. I grew up right in the heart of Louisville. I walked everywhere and my neighborhood was always bustling with people and activity. I think growing up that way translates really well to campus life, especially at IU. When I got to school I was already accustomed to getting places without at a car. I love being outside and walking. I love being on campus you never know who you are going to run into or what you are going to see. I am usually up for anything.

I love to travel. I did some traveling this summer. I went around the country on vacation (I love the beach!) and to visit friends from school. I also have been out of the country several times. When I travel, even on small road trips, I love to document my adventures. Unlike anything else photography has the unique ability to freeze time. A photo saves a moment forever. Whether it is your friend's goofy laugh or the view from the top of a mountain you have just climbed, photography gives you the chance to preserve a moment and revisit it again and again. It’s my goal to find special moments or interesting things and record them with my photographs. I can’t wait to experience and capture life at IU this upcoming school year.
